2026 Call for Nominations and Appointments

Take advantage of meaningful opportunities to contribute to the oral health education community and the oral health workforce.
Apply today to serve on an ADEA Board of Directors advisory committee, an ADEA advisory group or an external committee with ADEA partners including the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). The application is open through Oct. 30, 2026.
Whether you are a student, resident, emerging faculty leader or a seasoned administrator, there is a position for you. Get started today by searching committee appointments by title category (ie. “Faculty and Staff”.)

General Information
- To apply for an ADEA position, you must log in to your ADEA member account to access the application.
- Most committee appointments require a Letter of Support from your dean or program director. Request your letter as soon as possible as this step often takes the most time. Associate and assistant deans must also meet this requirement.
- You can apply for to up to three committees for which you are eligible. Review the full eligibility and available appointments on the application site.
- Start your application today and save your progress as you go. Return anytime to complete and submit your application by the Oct. 30, 2026 deadline.
- All ADEA advisory groups and committees follow guidelines outlined in the ADEA Bylaws (PDF).
Submission and Selection Process
The application submission period is from mid-August to Oct. 30, 2026.
Selected applicants will receive written notification:
- Applicants or appointments not requiring ADEA House of Delegates (HOD) approval will be notified in February 2027.
- Applicants for appointments and nominations to external committees will be voted on at the HOD Closing Session of the 2027 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition in March.
The ADEA point of contact for each committee will be copied on all notification letters.
