The ADEA Summer Program for Emerging Academic Leaders is designed for faculty members who have been at their institution for less than three years and have demonstrated the potential to make significant contributions to academic dentistry. This was the fourth class
to complete the program, and there are currently 136 alumni at various schools across the country. Since this program focuses on early-career faculty, it is often their first introduction to the ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition. This year, 16 of the fellows attended for the first time.
The ADEA Summer Program for Emerging Academic Leaders has become the gateway program for leaders in dental and allied dental education, with 13 alumni going on to become ADEA Leadership Institute Fellows. For more information, visit
