Dr. Aamna Nayyar Honored at the QM Connect Conference

NayyarSanta Fe Community College (SFCC) Professor and Director of the Department of Dental Health Aamna Nayyar, B.Sc., B.D.S., GPR, D.D.S., was honored for her focus on student learning at the eleventh annual Quality Matters (QM) QM Connect Conference in Grapevine, TX this past October. 

Individuals and groups that exemplify QM’s focus on student learning through the implementation of QM standards, practices and processes that demonstrate impact on student success are recognized at the conference. Dr. Nayyar was one of the recipients of the 2019 QM Making a Difference for Students Awards, recognized for Outstanding Impact by an Individual.

Dr. Nayyar earned a B.D.S. from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro, Pakistan. She completed a postgraduate General Practice Residency from Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Nayyar has served as the Director of Department of Dental Health at SFCC since 2003. Previous to that she worked as adjunct faculty and ran a private solo dental practice. She is a reviewer and an author of dental publications, including contributions to dental textbooks and continuing education courses. She has presented at numerous regional, state, national and international seminars and conferences.
