National Dental Association (NDA) Board of Trustees announced at its fall meeting that NDA Past President Nathan Fletcher, D.D.S., will serve as Interim Executive Director, effective immediately.
Dr. Fletcher served as the 84th President of the NDA in 2008. He has been the NDA Vice President and Vice Speaker of the House of Delegates. He is affiliated with the Maryland Dental Society, a component of the NDA, serving as President and Delegate in the House of Delegates for the NDA. Dr. Fletcher graduated cum laude from Morgan State University with a B.S. in chemistry (1980), and received his D.D.S. from Howard University College of Dentistry (1987).
The NDA promotes oral health equity among people of color by harnessing the collective power of its members, advocating for the needs of and mentoring dental students of color and raising the profile of the profession in our communities.
