The ADEA Advocacy
website is a new tool that gives you comprehensive information on issues of importance to academic dentistry and dental and craniofacial research, while providing you with direct access to your elected officials.
Members of Congress are most attentive to their constituents who
live and work in the states and districts they are charged with representing.
Make your voice heard on the issues most important to you and your institution.
It’s easy! Visit
adea.org/advocacy, enter your ZIP code to identify your elected officials and
start corresponding with them directly!
In addition to facilitating direct access to your elected officials, the website has many useful and informative features, including:
- Memoranda on Supreme Court cases affecting dental education.
- An interactive map containing information on legislation in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico (information is automatically updated every two hours).
- Federal grant information with links to the application process.
adea.org/advocacy, you will also find a database of ADEA documents and communications, including comment letters to federal agencies on issues such as gainful employment, and ADEA coalition sign-on letters to Members of Congress related to funding for various health professions programs and the National
Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
While visiting the site, please be sure to
subscribe to ADEA Action Alerts to maximize your ability to send messages to your elected officials.
