On March 10, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., join us for this prestigious event at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD, to celebrate the following 2025 Gies Award honorees:
- George Haddad, M.S., Gies Award for Eminence in Innovation
- Cecile A. Feldman, D.M.D., M.B.A., Gies Award for Eminence in Vision and Leadership
- Lois K. Cohen, Ph.D., Gies Award for Eminence in Achievement
- Dennis A. Mitchell, D.D.S., M.P.H., Gies Award for Eminence in Achievement

Gies awardees in this 75th anniversary year are uniquely positioned to propel the work of the foundation through their innovative contributions that advance oral health education and exemplify the vision of Dr. Gies and the ADEAGies Foundation.
The Gies Awards honor one awardee in each of the three categories:
- Gies Award for Eminence in Innovation
- Gies Award for Eminence in Achievement
- Gies Award for Eminence in Vision and Leadership
In each category, awardees can be individuals, institutions or public/private partners who are advancing dental education in the most significant ways.
The ADEAGies Foundation also honors promising junior faculty members whose accomplishments, to date, signal a creative endeavor to improve dental education through individual research, programming and teaching/learning pursuits in two categories:
