Wednesday, April 2 – Thursday, April 3, 2025
On Thursday, April 3, 2025, the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) and the Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (FNIDCR) will join forces for our 2025 Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. Please join us and be The Voice of Dental Education!
Together, we will raise the visibility of oral health, promote investment in dental education and training programs, champion NIDCR-funded research, and communicate the essential benefits of community water fluoridation.
With calls to cut spending, it is important for the oral health community to inform policymakers how funding dental training programs and dental research positively contributes to the overall health and well-being of the American people. This is also your opportunity to tell lawmakers about the positive benefits of community water fluoridation on oral health.
April 2
Your participation in Advocacy Day helps to demonstrate that investments in biomedical research, oral health training programs and community water fluoridation are having a tangible positive impact on people in lawmakers’ home states.
This event will be held in person on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC On April 2, registered participants will receive a legislative briefing and training session featuring senior federal agency officers, including officers from Health Resources and Services Administration and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
April 3
April 3 will be dedicated to group meetings on Capitol Hill with congressional offices, including meetings with participants’ own elected officials and their staff.
There is a flat $25 registration fee for Advocacy Day. This fee helps subsidize the cost of scheduling congressional meetings, advocacy training, printed materials, and continental breakfast.
The deadline to register for Advocacy Day is Feb. 28, 2025. Register today and we’ll see you in April in Washington, DC!
