Submitting Letters of Evaluation Electronically
If the evaluator prefers to submit a Letter of Evaluation electronically:
- Applicant provides the evaluator's email address
- As soon as the evaluator's name and email address are provided, the evaluator receives an email from ADEA CAAPID directing him or her to the ADEA CAAPID Evaluators Portal
- The first time an evaluator enters the Evaluators Portal, the evaluator is asked to provide contact information
- The evaluator follows simple step-by-step instructions for submitting the Letter of Evaluation; ADEA CAAPID can accept electronic Letter of Evaluations in these formats: Microsoft Word (.doc), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Portable Document Format (.pdf), and ASCII text (.txt)
Status Definitions:
We encourage you to monitor the status of your Letter of Evaluation in your ADEA CAAPID application.ADEA CAAPID will tell you-in the Status section of the application-which Letter of Evaluation have been received and distributed to your designated programs.If you are concerned that an evaluator has not responded to your request or has not submitted your Letter of Evaluation to ADEA CAAPID, you should contact the evaluator promptly.Status definitions include:
New: If the Letter of Evaluation is being
submitted electronically, the evaluator has not yet viewed the
electronic request.If the evaluator is submitting a the paper
evaluation, it has not yet been received by ADEA CAAPID.
In Progress: If the Letter of Evaluation is
being submitted electronically, "In Progress" means that the
evaluator has viewed and possibly entered and saved data, but has
not yet submitted the evaluation to ADEA CAAPID.
Complete: If the Letter of Evaluation is being
submitted electronically, "complete" means that the evaluator has
completed and submitted the Letter of Evaluation to ADEA CAAPID.If
the evaluator is submitting a paper evaluation," complete" means
that the Letter of Evaluation has been received by ADEA CAAPID.
