ADEA Council of Allied Dental Program Directors
About the Council
The ADEA Council of Allied Dental Program Directors (ADEA CADPD) fosters leadership and advances the quest for academic excellence among allied dental educators. The Council advocates for, represents and promotes allied dental education programs in all types of educational sessions; serves as the resource for ADEA on all matters and issues related to allied dental education; and supports current ADEA strategic directions. The ADEA CADPD Administrative Board represents all council members.
The ADEA CADPD is also represented on the ADEA Board of Directors by the Board Director for Allied Dental Program Directors. Council members have a voice in the governance of the Association through representation in the ADEA House of Delegates, the Association’s policymaking body.

Mission
The ADEA CADPD’s mission is to represent and promote allied dental education within the Association’s policies, procedures, and activities.
Membership
The ADEA CADPD consists of the directors of dental assisting, dental hygiene, dental laboratory technology and dental therapy education programs in each active, provisional, and affiliate ADEA member institution. In addition, a member of the Administrative Board who is no longer in any of the above categories may remain a member of the Council for the duration of his or her term. The ADEA CADPD also has representation on the ADEA Council of Faculties. For more information on membership requirements, see the ADEA Bylaws, Chapter VII.
