PillsPurpleOn Nov. 30, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the state had filed suit against Walgreens and CVS regarding opioid sales. Bondi stated that the companies contributed to the opioid crisis in Florida by failing to stop the sale of suspicious orders of opioids and that they also dispensed unreasonable quantities of opioids. A CVS spokesman said the lawsuit was lacking in merit, while Walgreens has yet to comment. This suit is the most recent filed in what appears to be a trend, as many other states and municipalities have filed suits against opioid manufacturers and distributors.
