Lifting as We Rise—the 2022 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition—inspires and challenges us to lean in on the pathways that position the next wave of oral health educators.
Dental education is based upon a sequential process of learning, training and developing as we move from students to providers, from residents to educators, from faculty to administrators. We focus on individual goals that propel us from one rung on the career ladder to the next.
For so many of us, our forward momentum, our resilience in the face of our toughest challenges and often the pivotal stages in our careers are fueled by the guidance of our mentors, faculty and advisors. As we look forward to new opportunities and get ready to take that next step, it is our duty to pause—and ensure we bring someone along with us.
Join us on March 19-22, 2022 in historically rich and culturally diverse Philadelphia—Pennsylvania’s largest city—for Lifting as We Rise, a program designed to foster the growth and collegiality among dental educators. (The conference location has shifted from Montreal, Canada, because of ongoing travel and border restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.)
The 2022 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition brings dental, allied dental and advanced dental educators and students together under one roof for four days of world-class education sessions and a bustling exhibit hall filled with dental education’s leading partners. Be there as the buzz surrounding celebrated experts from inside and outside of academic dentistry fills our halls, and extraordinary networking events and evenings in Philadelphia set the stage for new and renewed connections with colleagues from near and far.
We build on the successes of those before us. We learn from those alongside us. We must also lift one another up to help pave the way for those to come. It is our connectedness and the myriad contributions by all, for all, that drive this community forward. Due to the fluid situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, including international travel restrictions and possible strikes by border workers, the 2022 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition will take place in Philadelphia instead of Montreal, Canada.
