Seattle Central College Dental Hygiene Students Awarded Scholarships From Willamette Dental Group

During negotiations between the Seattle Central College Dental Programs and Willamette Dental Group to add additional clinical rotation sites for the dental hygiene students, Willamette Dental Group offered four $2,500 scholarships to the dental hygiene class of 2021. The scholarship applicants submitted essays about their interest in becoming a dental hygiene professional and reasons why they deserved the scholarship. The essays displayed the diversity of individual journeys and the common interest and passion for the dental hygiene profession. Applications from 75% of the dental hygiene class of 2021 were evaluated by the Willamette Dental Group Leadership Team. The four $2,500 scholarships were awarded to the following ADEA student members: Tybrenna Brown, Melissa Feng, Ha Thu Hoang and Mckenzie Lundgren.
